Thank you Zen to zany!

Happy hump day! Well Wednesday is the day I am starting to write this, though by the time I actually hit POST, it will be at least Thursday. There is work to be done, writing, more writing, further research, writing, rewriting, verification of writing, editing, re-edit, re-read, review, edit, review, repeat all the above etc…

And I LOVE IT!

First, I am the type of person that believes in giving credit where credit is due. On this journey  that I have only just begun, many people have inspired, promoted and helped me.  I hope you don’t mind but I have some shout outs- These may become part of a weekly routine.  Let’s see how it goes, shall we? I welcome your thoughts on the idea, so please leave me a comment.

My first shout out is to Robert Farrington of The College Investor – He shares his knowledge on passive income, getting out of student loan debt along with other financial expertise that I devour every chance I get. He continuously asks for, seems to genuinely enjoy and replies to feed back.  Robert, the last time we touched base was on March 31st via email. It was the day I signed up for Amazon’s MTurk , after reading your in-depth overview, along with helpful do’s and don’t suggestions on the site. I just wanted to let you know as of yesterday I am over 2000 hits with a 97.7% accuracy rate! Definitely, a worthwhile venture and the extra cash has come at a perfect time. Thank you so very much!

My second shout out goes to someone who’s blog post I stumbled onto just yesterday. As I have mentioned, trying to read 2-3 new a week is my ambitious goal. Here is a hearty HOLY COW, spot on and thank you to Patrick Cole for the blog post on Thought Catalog entitled “What I Learned From Dating An Introvert (And What You Should Know Before You Do)” Link: Blog post Thought Catalog. A very insightful piece of the characteristics of an introvert and I know ‘cuz I is one. Obviously, like all human beings, each of us are uniquely different individuals. But, I must say the apt description of how draining a crowd environment can be, left me thinking –  WOWSER! I do believe someone has read my mind! Kudos!!

The third and final shout out for today is to 4 very inspirational blogs and their writers. Thank you for the endless support and encouragement as I walk this part of my life path. This quote is dedicated to each of you: “Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground.  Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it…” ~ Wilferd Peterson  Gosh!! I feel like I am doing the Oscars, listed in no planned order;

I Know I Made You Smile

Hi there!  Are you still with me? Now for today’s HAPPY LIST! I have eluded to the positive stimulation that music can have on our mood in a prior post and am sure this will not be the last time it is mentioned. It is my constant friend always accessible and totally dependable. After all-

“Music is therapy. Music moves people. It connects people in ways that no other medium can. It pulls heart strings. It acts as medicine.” –  Macklemore

Music can spark a fond memory, bring out my jovial and silly playful side.  Heck, I can recall driving to work one day, I was in my own little world, had the radio cranked  and was just belting out lyrics, totally off key to one of my favorite songs. Stopped at a red light, I glanced to the left and there sitting right beside me, was a guy in a big ol’ pick up truck just grinning from ear to ear watching and listening. My face must have turned about 17 shades of red to purple, the light turned green and off I went. The brief incident still makes me belly chuckle when I think about it. (blush)

Lover of “tuneage” that I am, I’m terrible at remembering names of songs and their artists. So, I poled a few friends, searched my memory banks, hung out with Pandora and You Tube the last few days to bring you a little something special. A list off 100 songs that get my feet tapping and gives a boost to my spirit. I think there is a little bit of something for everyone. As an added bonus I threw in a few links here and there so you can have an audio experience too. They are in NO PAR-TIK-YA-LAR order. So without further ado…LET’S GO :

  1. I’m not DX’d with PTSD but I do have depression and anxiety and one of my group’s home work assignments was to practice a 1/2 smile every morning for a week. When you wake up just smile, it doesn’t have to be much of a smile and it doesn’t have to be about anything…it can be a forced smile yet I found the act of pulling my lips up in the smile inspired me to think of happy things. TRY IT, for me it works….well some.

    I find music my solace and yes my escape; lyrics the poetry I cannot write; melodies the sound of the Universe and a source of Joy. ~~dru~~

    1. It actually is based from a previous post about how music can affect our mood and I tossed in some gratitudes. Also one of my shout outs was to a person who had suggested the popularity of lists of 100 , so I took on the challenge. Perhaps we can call it a meatloaf post? I hope that helps. 😋 Kind Regards and questions always welcome – K

      You know what? Actually, I had a doubt about the link you have provided in all your comments, regarding the ratings. 🙂

    3. Yes, I also find some of the valuable comments in my Spam box. I don’t find any reason to for that to be in Spam box. Because of that, I tend to miss some and had to reply late.
      Am also very much new. So me too learning 😁

      Well, Happy Weekend, K 😃
