Fall in New England

Fall in New England is the time,

When the hillsides and the mountains too

Are covered with leaves converting from green

To  the varying  shades and vibrant orange, reds,

And yellows, of a roaring campfire’s flame.

“Autumn asks that we prepare for the future

—that we be wise in the ways of garnering and keeping.

But it also asks that we learn to let go—

to acknowledge the beauty of sparseness.”

–  Bonaro W. Overstreet

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”

-Albert Camus
