G’ma’s Love Knows No Distance

I remember, THE call, SHE was born, the smile-filled burst that filled my heart.

Thru my cell, I sang Twinkle Little Star, when she was barely 10 minutes old.

Many miles between, yet cherished love encompassed us from the start.

I’ll never forget, six months later, the joyful tears streaming,

As I felt the warmth, of the sweetest hug, the first time ever I held her.

me thankful for harper

To this day we all still sing it together on the phone… 🙂 I was very lucky.. my daughter put her phone on speaker…and I sang away.. and I shouldn’t even be singing in the shower.. hahaha.. but everyone was happy!! ❤

  2. Wow! This reminds me of how blessed and grateful I am that my children were showered by my mom’s love before she died. It’s unfortunate that she passed on before my siblings had kids.
A grandma’s love is like no other.
    Thanks for sharing.
