Ode to Mr. Jay

Mr. Blue Jay you have got a bad rep

All that annoying Cah cahing, fighting

And bullying we see.

Might it be a facade? 

Is it possible,

You are more similar to me?

Not that I bully and fight, but

For those who delve deeper

Find hidden, buried treasures inside.

A place where warmth 

And the love infused heart resides?

What are you protecting Mr. Jay?

Some things which transpired in the past.

 Caused that cruel exterior you convey? 

What might help you to move beyond?

To embrace the freedom to sing

A joyful tune,

An uncommon song?

My wish for you is, something, 

Which shall interrupt your ugliness,

Allowing you, to

Present thou shine above all the rest.

This common, large songbird is familiar to many people,

with its perky crest; blue, white, and black plumage;

and noisy calls. Blue Jays are known for their intelligence
