Late Winter’s Find

Camera slung over my shoulder,

As I sauntered  down yet another

New England country road.

In the town, Westminster, Vermont.

Was late in Winter’s season

Yet, the only hint

Of Spring’s approach

Was a bit of thaw

And slight lengthening of the day.

Something called to me

Solicited my attention.

Mostly hidden by tangled, twisted

Intertwined brown thorny bushes.

Groups of berries,

A touch of winter’s snow

Still clinging,

Upon their distinct color

 Of rich cranberry red.

A photographer’s delight.

Kind Regards and beauty surrounds – K
