Whether you journal

In the morning,

Or you journal

In the eve,

You journal to get

Your thoughts out

Or you journal,

So that your words

Flow.

This journal is for you.

Whether you

Journal a short story, haiku,

Or to make

The lines rhyme.

You journal as a release,

After a long day,

Or to capture a quote.

Perhaps you journal

To savor an old memory.

It does not matter why.

Always remember,

Writing in your journal,

Is personal,

And never, ever

A waste of your time

Self Publishing- A Cover 4.11.19

Still creating the personal journal splashed with photography. Fun project, mostly!

Finally decided on a cover!

Uploaded it and realized it needed to be 300 dpi! (Dots per square inch!)

Found a wonderful “free” drag and drop link on line that converts photos!

FREE!!

This is a photo of a screen shot placed in a word doc printed on plain paper! 🤣

You didn’t want it simply simple, did you?

The Publishing Journey 4.5.2019

BRIAN GAGE LANGDON NH

Happy Rainy Morning from Troutman, NC!

Yes! I am still working on the personal journal, AFTER THE ROOSTER CROWS, I talked about in my earlier posts. The one with some photography scattered throughout!

The lines are drawn on the pages!

The “This Journal Belongs to:____________________” is awaiting for YOUR name.

The automatic table of contents has been created and updated numerous times!

BUT FIRST-

I  give a thumbs up to  the Amazon templates you can download! That definitely has been a time saver!

Currently, I have just sent off the two prose pieces, I plan on including,  to my ol’ English teacher from High School!

Editing! Verification! Double checking! Proof reading!

I cannot stress enough the importance of the proofing!

Take it from a true human! YUP!

Just as the title page should be on the right hand side of your published manuscript so should the Table of Contents be on the  right hand side, right after the title page!

The first book I published, Where the Cows Still Play, It was on the left.

Opsee!!

Also, the first time I published it had a number of errors. I had to pull it back and fix some things and re-publish!

WHAT A PAIN!

So, if you are planning on doing your own thing!

To Self publish!

Make sure you have more than one set of eyes checking things over!!

Well I am off to figure out what I am going to use for a cover!

Have a fantastic Friday!

#winning!

Kind Regards  – K

Do you like to Jot Your Thoughts? 3.18.19

Just like the tiny branch

Twirls on the branch above,

Often so do my thoughts.

They flip, flop, twist, turn, and often tailspin. When I journal it seems to slow my mind down. I am able to catch my breath!

You will soon be in for a treat! I’m working on a journal to publish, slight twist… I have scattered a few photographs throughout! There are 5 contributing photographers!
