She warned him she was going to go
It mattered not that she loved him so
Things done halfway were not her style
Still they lived that way far too long awhile
He wouldn’t talk about the change nor did he seem to sway
Lately when she looked in the mirror the person she knew had gone away.
Standing at the bumpy road’s fork
Her mind knew which way to go
Her faithful heart wouldn’t say it tho
Thus, she turned around and sauntered back
Her strong willful soul knew the day would come
Shortly they would fly or her heart would acquiesce
Either way, days of halfway would then be done.
Remember you deserve the best!
Accept nothing less!
